I received a certificate in massage therapy from Northwestern Health Sciences University. While at NWHSU, I became passionate about the benefits of both clinical and relaxation massage. The most important thing that I learned through my schooling was modifying my sessions to fit what the client needs and wants to get out of them. This means modifying my pressure to the clients "optimal tolerance" (Massage should not be painful), this means taking into account a persons health history to avoid causing harm, this means not putting what I think the client needs over what they do, and this means communicating with my clients about what work would be the best for them.
Since graduating I have found a passion for sports massage and working with athletes to help them be at their best when they train and compete.
I ask that you show up 10 minutes early for your first session to fill out paperwork and talk about your goals for the session.
